Chargeman

Job scope
• Carry out inspection of all electrical plant as required by the building executive.
• Start central Air conditioning systems if instructed.
• Ensure the LV and HV electrical installation is maintained and safely operated as required by law.
• Carry out testing and minor electrical repairs
• Conduct routine inspections and planned preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Assist Electrical Engineer and building Executive with his daily duties
• Conduct No Load and Load test for generators as required. Ensure it is in fine working condition at all times.
• Keep clean all generators and its surrounding and ensure there is sufficient fuel at all times.
• Ensure all certificates for the electrical installations and generators are valid and displayed as required.
• Ensure all safety signs, shock treatment charts and PPE are available in the plant rooms and in acceptable condition.
• Inspect and test fire alarm systems and carry out minor repairs as instructed.
• Record Electrical plant/main switch board log readings
• Assist in recording mechanical plant log readings.
• Assist in maintaining water pumps, compressors, motors and any other asset as assigned by supervisor.
• Complete reports as assigned in a timely manner.
• Ensure supervising engineer visits installation and reports as scheduled

Qualification
• Minimum Certificate of Competency A0, A1 or A4 chargeman Grade from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• At least 2 years experiences
• Must be able to work as a team, good communication skills, proactive and work safely. Willing and committed to the job. Supervisory skills and good understanding of local laws governing electrical installations.
