Technician / Electrician

Job scope
• The electrician would be assisting the charge men and building executive on a day to day basis.
• He would also be required to carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance works as assigned to him.
• He would also be expected to learn and carry out other trades within the organization as instructed so as to be multi skilled. This includes working with air-conditioning systems, refrigeration, security systems, control systems, plumbing, painting etc.
• Take safety precautions while working and ensure all safety codes are complied with while testing and maintaining property and assets.
• Carry out testing and minor electrical repairs such as rewiring, replacement of light fittings, changing fuses, working on audio & video equipment etc.
• Conduct routine inspections and planned preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Assist charge men with his daily duties
• Assist in testing the generators as required.
• Inspect and test fire alarm systems and carry out minor repairs as instructed.
• Record Electrical plant/main switch board log readings
• Assist in recording mechanical plant log readings.
• Assist in maintaining water pumps, compressors, motors and any other asset as assigned by supervisor.
• Complete reports as assigned in a timely manner.
• Assist handy man, carpenter, plumber, and plant room operators, air-conditioning technicians and any other trade as and when required.

Qualification
• Minimum Certificate of Competency Wireman PW1/2/3/4 Grade from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• At least 2 years experience
• Must be able to work as a team, good communication skills, proactive and work safely. Willing and committed to becoming multi skilled.
